ALT−C Systems Inc. and Celerity Solutions announce Strategic Alliance

ALT−C Systems Inc. of Montreal, Quebec and Celerity Solutions (Nasdaq: CLTY, "Celerity"), headquartered in Dedham, Massachusetts, announce a strategic alliance, whereby ALT−C Systems' TimeTrends® software will provide demand forecasts to drive Celerity Solutions' Supply Chain Planner system. Supply Chain Planner is designed for data-intensive Customer driven Distribution environments, where a demand forecast is required to calculate replenishment, procurement and movement of product from suppliers to customers. The interface between Celerity's real-time Supply Chain Planner and ALT−C's TimeTrends forecasting product gives supply chain planners an up-to-the-minute view of their supply chain from end to end.

Now, users can review their forecast information, and with the push of a button, use this forecast to update their supply plan. The patented real-time planning algorithm takes the forecast and recalculates the supply plan immediately. This gives the planner the earliest possible notification of an changes in the supply plan.

The TimeTrends Forecast Warehouse system allows creation of forecasts based on historical trending and seasonal patterns, using a powerful mathematical engine consisting of multiple algorithms. This is combined with promotional event impacts and user-generated overrides. TimeTrends also provides a flexible administrative system for all forecast-related information, within a Y2K-compliant, Internet-enabled 32-bit application.

TimeTrends and the Continuum/Supply Chain Planner products are designed for Windows 95/NT and are integrated using ODBC and an open data structure.
